NOTES
-
-
1.
Please
remember that although you have the right to walk on Public Rights of Way the
land you cross often belongs to the
farming community.
-
-
For
farmers the fields are a food production
area. Please treat them as such.
-
2.
For
most footpaths and tracks you need to be able to cross stiles and open &
close heavy gates.
-
3.
Good
footwear and a drink are a good idea.
-
4.
Please report any
problem areas to the parish council:- 01963 370527
- 5. In spring and early summer cows with calves can be very dangerous!
Farmers would usually prefer you to detour around the field containing cows
and calves and join the path further on. If you are accompanied by a
dog the cattle will become extremely agitated. If a dog wanders off
out of sight and does not come when called, then it should be walked on a
lead.
